Day 48: What is Ozo thinking?

Dorathy talk to Ozo about his ship inside the House and the possibilities that exist outside the House, before he goes and gets some advice from Kiddwaya.

Day 48: We are all different

Erica and Kiddwaya discuss how different all the Housemates are and how to best interact with each other, while Nengi and Ozo discuss how to walk before you fly.

Day 48: Sing along time

A slow morning in the Big Brother House became an exciting one when the Housemates found a song they all enjoyed and it turned into a spontaneous sing-along. Beer pong, Mancala, cooking wars, there’s never a boring moment with this group of Housemates.

Day 48: Strategies brewing
The Big Brother Naija Lockdown Housemates know that yet another Eviction is upon us which will result in a change in attitudes and actions.

Biggies House is home to drama, laughter, intense moments and many other things, but most of all, it is home to eleven Housemates who are all becoming strategists in their own right. Who will stay? Who will go? And what will the last few weeks hold for those whose fate is to remain in the House? This afternoon, Kiddwaya and Erica asked the very same questions.

We are not the same

While they were washing dishes in the kitchen, Erica and Kiddwaya chatted about life on the outside. Kiddwaya told Erica that his mind was on Sunday. The conversation took a turn, however with the two discussing how they would have to react to certain Housemates in the House- no names mentioned. Kiddwaya decided that come next week, he would have to start ‘checking’ some Housemates. He continued that in real life, his path would not even cross with many of theirs and it was about time that the Housemates knew. Erica celebrated this statement from her bae, telling him it was finally time. We cannot talk to Sunday, but definitely look forward to finding out what this means next week.

Erica and Laycon are not talking

We don’t know if it is part of a strategy or not, but Laycon and Erica are not talking like they were two weeks ago. From when Erica decided not to talk to Laycon again, she has remained civil, but not sought him out to speak. Laycon has, of course, reciprocated, in effect getting much closer to Vee.

Lucy has been removed

Lucy has been very subdued over the last two days, telling Biggie that she was still thinking about how people behave in the House. Lucy was outspoken and then withdrew. She then became outspoken again and withdrew again. After her chat with Biggie this week she came out of her shell again. We are yet to see what part of the Game this is and how this pans out for her in the next few days.

Being careful

Ozo and Dorathy were talking as Dorathy prepared food in the kitchen. The conversation started on the topic of being cautious in the House, not whispering and not removing their mics so as to be heard all the time. Dorathy seemed extra cautious with Ozo, though friendly, as usual. She told him that she didn’t want to say too much, to avoid watching herself on the screen on Sunday and having to explain herself. As they discussed, Dorathy told Ozo that her plan was to make friends in the House, more than relationships. In the same conversation, she told Ozo that she would continue to try and look out for him.

We are yet to see what will transpire as we face yet another round of Evictions tomorrow. In the meantime, we watch and listen.

Day 48: Saturday fun with Scanfrost
A Task from Scanfrost made sure that the Big Brother Naija Housemate’s relaxed Saturday turned into a competitive and hilarious one.

When the nation’s most trusted appliance maker decided to put the Big Brother Naija Housemates through their paces, the results were the stuff that dreams are made of. As always the Housemates had to be divided into teams and when the dust had settled, this was the breakdown.

Each team was given the incredibly short time frame of three minutes to prepare a skit about the appliance that their team is named after. The play had to contain as much information as possible and the judging criteria were creativity, elegance, and use of Naija nuances.

Team Refridgerator started with a hilarious skit that showed when it comes to thinking on their feet, Neo and Prince are a match made in heaven. Team Generator then surprised us all with a very well thought out skit that treated us to the joyous sight of Kiddwaya’s dance moves. Team Air Conditioner gave us some serious Nollywood vibes. Team Cooker then pleasantly surprised us with Laycon’s ability to adlib and feed off of Lucy’s amazing energy. Team Laundry closed off with a lukewarm effort that paled in creativity compared to the others.

With only one half of the Scanfrost Task done, we patiently wait to see which team is going to be as reliable and wonderful as the appliances they are representing. Keep your eyes locked on Big Brother Naija to find out.

Day 48: Fun with Scanfrost

The Big Brother Housemates had next to no time to prepare their Scanfrost plays and the results were incredibly creative. Who said you need time to create excellent work?

Day 48: Sunday fun day

Trikytee and Dorathy discuss the joys of enjoying a Sunday outside of the Big Brother House. Whether it’s business or pleasure, they both know the importance of not making the most of the day.

Day 48: The duvet heist
Ozo, Neo, Vee and Nengi were in the mood to pull a prank and their targets were their fellow Housemates duvets.

A perfectly planned heist involving Ozo, Nengi, Neo, and Vee saw them stealing duvets of the rest of the Housemates and turning the House inside out and upside down.

Executing the duvet heist

After realising some Housemates’ pillows were missing, Ozo decided to take it up a notch by initiating a duvet heist alongside Nengi, Neo, and Vee. They were to steal the duvets from the other Housemates room.

So impressed were you with the scheme that you immediately gave the heist squad names after the popular ‘Money Heist’ TV show.

When the time came for the heist, Neo sneaked into the House while Nengi distracted the rest of the Housemates with a game of ‘Concentration’ outside. Once inside, he took all their duvets and went to hide them before heading out to join the Housemates. When asked why he was sweating, he explained that it was because he wore his hoodie to the restroom.

Discovering the heist

Lucy was the first one to notice her duvet was gone and immediately let out a yell as the rest of the Housemates walked in to find their duvets gone.

The part that had you laughing was how the culprits kept acting all innocent like they didn’t execute the heist.

The Housemates first suspect was Biggie, but almost immediately, Dorathy said she suspected Neo. It was rather fishy how he came back to join them in the garden sweating and panting. The hoodie he claimed to have made him sweaty was surprisingly dry according to Dorathy. Neo looked upset as he vehemently denied this accusation. It didn’t take long for Lucy to start suspecting him too but assumed he connived with Biggie to pull it off.

While Neo was defending himself, you lot thought it was funny that no one even suspected Ozo, who was the brains behind it all.

Not falling victim

After finding out the Housemates have had their duvets stolen, Erica headed straight to the HoH lounge to make sure hers was safe. Finding it in place, she wasn’t going to let it out of her sight.

Thanks to Trikytee, the Housemates eventually found their duvets under the bed as they continued calling out Neo as the Housemate responsible for the heist, but he denied it till the end. He wasn’t going to take the fall for it.

What no one saw coming was Vee, a member of the heist, denying Neo and being disappointed.

It even got more amusing when they started suspecting each other as an accomplice in this heist.

Last night’s prank clearly had the House and the internet buzzing. Who knows, this might herald more pranks in the House. Let’s just hope it doesn’t turn vindictive and result in another fight.
