Blackface Concedes Defeat; Drops All Charges Against 2face Idibia

The long legal battle between Afro-pop singer, Black Face and his former band mate, Innocent Idibia famously known as 2Face, has come to an end.

According to exclusive published by Premium Times, the latter tendered an apology after an out-of-court settlement.

Blackface sued 2face for copyright infringement, an issue that has been on for over fifteen years or more.

The singer revealed after consulting with his solicitors, he has decided to revoke all allegations laid against Innocent Idibia.

It read, “Having consulted with my Solicitors, I do hereby revoke all allegations of intellectual property theft and career sabotage previously made against Mr. Innocent Idibia and Mr. Efe Omorogbe

“These statements were erroneously made under misapprehension as to their accuracy, due to prevailing circumstances at the time. I have been advised on the inaccuracy of my previous allegations and retract them entirely.

“I undertake to refrain from making any such subsequent statements against the persons of Mr. Innocent Idibia and Mr. Efe Omorogbe in future”.

BACKGROUND STORY

2face, Blackface and Faze, formed the popular band ground “Plantashun Boiz”.

A Nigerian hiphop and R&B music group. The group was formed during their college years in Enugu, at the Institute Of Management And Technology.

A couple of hit tracks were released until the group went its separate ways. After the split, 2face Idibia became the fans favorite after the release of African Queen.

Blackface has since accused 2face of copyright violations with several court orders flying around. At all cost, the latter had tried to mar 2face’s name in the industry.
