Boxing Legend, Anthony Joshua celebrates turning 29 as heavyweight world champion shares snap with birthday cake

Anthony Joshua began his birthday celebrations after turning 29 on Monday as he shared a snap of himself with a giant chocolate cake, along with a video where he shouts ‘one life’.

The heavyweight champion held a sprinkler in one hand as he posed for the photo while dressed in a white shirt with his glasses on.

Joshua is enjoying his downtime after beating Alexander Povetkin by knockout in his last bout, before deciding who to face next.

The now 29-year-old has a record of 22 wins from 22 fights, including 21 by knockout.

His next fight is already confirmed for next April at Wembley, although the challenger is yet to be decided.

He had been tipped to face Deontay Wilder but now Eddie Hearn claims the American’s camp will not discuss a deal before the Fury fight, and so will not be ready in time.

Hearn said: ‘It doesn’t have to be Whyte if it isn’t Wilder but Whyte is a good alternative for us. It could also be Miller in New York. That would be a big fight over here.

‘Our plan is still April 13 at Wembley but it isn’t looking good for Wilder. We would keep Wembley for Whyte, but if it was Miller it would be a similar time (in April) in New York. Miller could sell tickets and believe me he is a handful.’
