Burying The Late Pastor Joshua Within The Church Was A Big Mistake

Popular Nigerian televangelist TB Joshua was buried in Lagos after a week of funeral rites.

Thousands of mourners attended the burial service at his Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in the Ikotun area of Lagos.

The 57-year-old died on 5 June, the church had announced.

Temitope Balogun Joshua was revered by people from around the world and millions of thousands of people attended his weekly services.

The charismatic preacher’s rise to fame in the late 1990s coincided with the explosion of “miracle” programmes performed on Nigerian TV by various pastors.

His ministry professed to heal all kinds of illnesses, including HIV/Aids and attracted people from around the world.

Well, people are saying that they made a very big mistake by burying the pastor within the church. Some people will definitely go there will be tempted to worship him and make that place a shrine that is blasphemous. He was a human being who loved Jesus and knew his mandate, he wasn’t God that’s why he died.

Lets Christians know where to draw the line otherwise, their salvation will be compromised. In short, they have made that thing called the church a shrine and they are going to continue worshipping him/his dead body and begins to say that he is still performing miracles. Human beings are very weak, that is why God has to hide the body of Moses. If God didn’t hide it Israelites could have turned him to idol worship or seek intercession through him. Remember what Saul did to Samuel’s dead body? Saul approached Samuel’s dead body and tried to connect with his dead spirit asking him to intercede for them like he was doing when he was alive.

Sadly people think of anything that pleases and is approved by fellow humans is okay with God. But Unfortunately, God is not moved by the world. He is sovereign and He doesn’t submit to anybody. Even if all of us approve of sin, it won’t change the fact about what God said. He is a kind God but not subject to humans. That’s why He is God and we are not.

Let’s be careful who we worship; God or the pastor. Unfortunately of the late majority of Christians worship their pastors without them knowing.
