Cardi B Sued Over Alleged Attack / Eyewitnesses Defend Rapper

Cardi B has another legal wrangle on her hands, but sources say she may well be the wronged party.

The ‘Press’ rapper is being sued for allegedly assaulting, striking and spitting on a female security guard named Emani Ellis. 

Interestingly, despite the supposed incident taking place on February 24th 2018 (two years ago), the suit was just filed yesterday in LA.

In the suit, Cardi is accused of hitting Ellis in the head. The accuser, who like Cardi is Afro-American, also asserts racial profanities were used against her by the star in the Medical Center altercation.However…

Eyewitnesses told TMZ a different story. One that seems to absolve Cardi of blame:

“[Word is] Cardi had just left an appointment — and the security guard approached Cardi trying to record video or take photos of her. We’re told Cardi asked her to stop because she didn’t want to be recorded in the doctor’s office.

The witnesses say the security guard got upset and she and Cardi — who didn’t have security with her at the time — did get into argument. We’re told a building staffer ran out and got in between the guard and Cardi, and things never got physical, and there were no racial slurs.”

Yet, Ellis maintains otherwise and goes on stress that the rapper  “then used her celebrity status to get her fired from her job as a security guard.” 

A claim seniors at the center reject, asserting instead that her firing was due the unprofessional nature of her actions. Much of which amounted to a literal invasion of Cardi’s privacy.

Ellis is suing for assault, battery and infliction of emotional distress. Note that this isn’t a criminal proceeding, meaning that the desired end result is a payout (as well justice, allegedly).
