Davido Wins ‘Rest Of Africa’ Award At South African Music Awards 2020
The 26th Annual South African Music Awards (SAMA) ceremony is ongoing and Nigerian pop superstar David Adeleke better known as Davido won the ‘Rest of Africa’ award for his sophomore album ‘A Good Time’.
Due to the Corona Virus pandemic the annual South African Music Awards 2020 ceremony will span from 3 – 7 August 2020. Each episode of the music award ceremony would run for 30 minutes except for the last day which would be the grand finale.
In the first episode of SAMA Davido’s ‘A Good Time’ album was announced the winner of the ‘Rest of Africa’ award. The category was contested by other artistes like Sha Sha, PsychoYP, Isabel Novella, Sarz x WurlD.
Recently, the ‘A Good Time’ album was confirmed to have garnered over a billion streams by Columbia Records UK and the first African music album to achieve the feat.

In other news, Davido has concluded all recordings for his forthcoming ‘A Better Time’ album expected to be out later this year.
