Nigerians have taken to social media to react, after former actress, Cossy Orjiakor reported that she was beaten and bitten by one of her tenants, Amebo9ja report.

Cossy Orjiakor revealed that one of her tenants, Chimezie Mba, who threatened to beat her up fulfilled his promise and resisted arrest.

She took to her Instagram page to share videos and wrote;

He promised to beat me up….. well he actually did. Tramadol gives people wings….Now he promise to kill me, he had a knife on him. ……….I kept quite because someone I respect begged me to. Now you claim to have packed out from the Airbnb type of monthly apartment. why is the door still locked. I Am going to court of Mediation on Monday and it gets worse from here. All I want is for my apartment to be opened…. 1 Had a management. But some male tenants just like wahala. Especially the jobless ones . I will not rent to unmarried hardworking ladies.”

Reacting to her cry for help, some Nigerians took to the post to question her what really happened and ask why she didn’t hand over the house to a lawyer.

One Peterarmandboyo wrote, “This is unacceptable. Please take precautions and stay safe. Airbnb can step in too. No matter the circumstances violence is not acceptable”

“Why do you deal directly with your tenants? Why not handover the house to a competent lawyer. The tenant pays the fee of the lawyer (I think about 10%)” another wrote.
