Blogging, which started couples of years ago as a mere online diary has grown to become a source of expression, fame and wealth for so many people all over the world including Nigerians (and my very self)

Today, I’ll be sharing with you about some best and popular blogs in Nigeria. I will talk about their owners, when they started and other things in between.

Let me quickly point this out;

Whatever anybody considers “best” Nigerian blogs is always relative.

For us to consider a blog as one best blogs in Nigeria, what are the criteria?

For you, it may be their popularity according to the alexa ranking, google pagerank etc, for me, it may be the quality of the bloggers’ contents (articles), for another, it may be the personality of the blogger.

Most people believe that the the first blog in the world is Links.net, which was created by Justin Hall, in the year 1994.

However, it was in the year 1997 that the term “weblog” was first used, arguably by Jorn Barger, of the Robot Wisdom blog.

From 1998 till date, bog and blogging has passed through several changes and advancement, out of which the likes of Jonathan DubePeter MerholzEvan WilliamsMeg Hourihan and the softwares like wordpressblogger, etc have played very important roles.

Ovie Ofiakpone is the admin of amebo9ja who developed a passion in blogging long ago but was not opportuned to begin until he went for his IT (Industrial Training) back then in 2015 when the interest was kindled with the help of a colleague who put him through. Today, he is known for his creative and funny write up, very good with gossips making him the only nigerian guy to own a gossip website.

Daniel Oyetoro is the owner of Yabaleftonline blog and later co-assisted by Michael Badejoo. The site is know for its  Is an online News, Entertainment and Comedy website which is owned by Daniel Oyetoro and later co-assisted by Michael Badejoko. The site was found on 8th May, 2013.

Stella Damascus Ademinokan is the owner of the blog stelladimokokorkus. The nollywood actress and singer has been able to gather fans from her impressive blog post and entertaining content.
