Plagarism! Tiwa savage claims ciara stole lyrics

Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage is reportedly upset with Tekno for ripping off the beats of her song “Before Nko” for his collaboration with Ciara.

Tekno’s latest music feature in “Freak Me“, a song of ace American RnB singer Ciara has been embroiled in a copyrights breach.

Amebo9ja gathered that neither Tekno nor Ciara obtained permission from the “Love Me” singer.

The source said, “We were surprised that they went that route. They didn’t even just sample some strings, the beat and lyrics of the hook are basically the same. Tiwa is extremely upset because it seems like a rip off of her sweat.”

On the awareness of the MMMG boss, the source added, “They didn’t ask or inform us before the song was made. As a matter of fact, we reached out to them when we heard the song but they didn’t do us the courtesy of even responding. This is not how to do things. Tekno himself is not sharing links to the song as much as his boss Ubi is. This is wrong.”

The source further explained that Ciara might be innocent of the breach following Tekno’s series of copyrights allegation which has made news headlines in the past.

“It may not have been in Ciara’s place to know that the song belonged to someone else but the onus was on Tekno as the featured act and producer (who we believe gave the song to her anyway) to inform her,” the source explained.

While the news media are still unable to get a respond from Ubi Franklin, Tekno’s record label boss and manager, they stated that a call has been placed in that regard.
