Why I dropped Paul Pogba from the Manchester United squad – Jose Mourinho

Manchester united manager, Jose mourinho has opened up on why Pogba was not named in the starting XI or the bench on saturday match against Wolves.

According to Express.co.uk, His omission comes after Mourinho told the midfielder he would never captain the team again following his comments after the draw at the weekend

But speaking before tonight’s match, Mourinho said the 25-year-old was being rested after starting every game this season.

He said: “I gave a rest to Luke [Shaw], to Paul, to Victor Lindelof, to Antonio Valencia, to David de Gea.

“I have to play with a good team.”

United’s next match is against West Ham on Saturday and it remains to be seen if Pogba will be included.

But Arsenal legend Martin Keown believes Mourinho will win this war of words with Pogba.

“Jose Mourinho is posturing for control here,” Keown told BBC Radio 5 Live.
