Amazon Prime Video is all set to release its latest cop action thriller series Dahaad featuring stunning actress Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role. It is created by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar. Earlier this year, Dahaad made history as the first Indian series to be featured at The Berlinale International Film Festival. The show, which was co-created by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar, also marks the digital debut of Sonakshi in the role of a determined female police officer who is determined to solve a “gruesome murder case” with an unknown perpetrator on the loose, as described by the streaming platform.

The series has Ritesh Sidhwani, Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, and Reema Kagti credited as its executive producers.

In this eight-episode series, Sonakshi Sinha portrays the character of Anjali Bhaati, a sub-inspector who, along with her team, attempts to solve a gruesome murder case with an elusive culprit. The plotline involves a series of women being discovered dead in public restrooms, leading Anjali to suspect the involvement of a serial killer. The official plot summary suggests that the series depicts an intense cat-and-mouse game between a skilled criminal and an inexperienced but determined cop as Anjali puts together evidence to prevent further loss of innocent lives.
