“Before I became popular, I spent four years carrying the bags of other celebrities” – singer Asake reveals
Nigerian talented singer and songwriter in a recent interview with Global music awards has revealed so many things he had to do before he became a star.
He said:
“Before I became popular, I spent four years carrying the bags of other celebrities
I would even beg to live in their boys’ quarters just to learn from them. I did not have where to stay and no money, so I was begging people to help me with a place to sleep and in return, I work for them for free and learn.
The thing is, people only see your success; they never consider the days you spent striving to get there. I’ve been working on my music and networking for over four years before gaining popularity, but people will never know,”
