The Federal Government on Monday said Secondary schools in the nation will resume on August 4, 2020 for students in leave classes to sit for their exams.

This, as the government affirmed that the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) will start on August 17, 2020.

In an announcement by the Director, Press and Public Relations, FMoE, Ben Goong, said “partners at the gathering concurred that the leave classes should resume immediately after the Sallah break, from the 4th of August, 2020 to enable them to prepare for the WAEC examinations scheduled to begin from the 17th of August, 2020.

“The gathering additionally settled that an enthusiastic intrigue be made to the Federal Government through the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 and open energetic Nigerians for help to schools the nation over to empower them quick track the arrangements of safe reviving, as concurred.
