“I still can’t believe I won a Grammy, I don’t even know when it’s gonna sink into my head but till this day, I cannot believe it. At this age, so early in my career, and becoming the first artist to win the Best African Music Performance Grammy is alot to take in. It wasn’t easy to get here and obviously there’s still a very long way to go but still even getting here was very difficult like I can’t imagine how much more difficult it was for the people who came before me. People like Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido and every other artist that came before us opened doors for us young artists. I just wanna make it even easier for the next generation and broaden our audience because Africa has got talent.”

Your success as an artist doesn’t only end with you but it opens doors for the next generation. When it’s your time, you just do what you have to do for yourself and the next generation. There are things you might not achieve but instead pave the way for those coming after you to achieve that
