Adedamola Adefolahan better known as Fireboy DML, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter signed onto the YBNL Nation. The DML is an acronym of his name Damola meaning you’re welcome.

 He started music in his local church choir in Abeokuta, Ogun State.He rose to prominence with his breakthrough track in 2018, “Jealous”. The track talked about love and the complicated emotions surrounding it. The music blended African harmonies with aspects of soul and country.

In an interview he granted last year, he said “I like to write my songs from a more relatable approach,” and he describes his genre “Afro-Life.”  “They are everyday topics, but I approach them from emotional angles. That’s why it stands out.”

He cites the American singer Jon Bellion, the Nigerian pop star Wande Coal and the English musician Passenger as his key contemporary influences.

Fireboy has grown massively over the years as an artiste and has gained spots in the industry with the likes of Burna Boy and Davido.
