Born Folayemi Olatunji in 1978 in Ondo State, Nigeria, Blaq was raised in Lagos where he completed his primary and tertiary education. He attended Adeyemi Demonstration Secondary School in Ondo as the school’s first Head boy, where his passion for acting took root.

Yemi Blaq’s journey in Nollywood began in 2005 after registering with the Actors Guild of Nigeria. His breakthrough role came in the movie “Lost of Lust,” where he starred alongside Mercy Johnson, catapulting him into the limelight. Over the years, Blaq has been featured in numerous films, showcasing his ability to embody diverse characters with finesse. His performances have earned him accolades, including the Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards.
