“My oldest son who was 16 at the time told me that he wanted to become a professional bõxer. I immediately said but stop there, you’re stupîd, you went to a private school! You can’t be a bõxer, you’ve taken trips to Europe, you’ve been around the world. You can’t be a fîghter with that, you’re a middle class kid and you’ve got almost everything you want. You want to fight guys like me? Anîmals? No! I don’t want my kids to go through that, it’s degradîng. Boxîng, you do it when you have nothing. It’s a lot of sacrîfices, paîn, and sufferîng. I took the blows so that my children wouldn’t have to take them. When I look at my children, I see middle class kids who went to school and are aloud to do what they want. Boxing means wanting to be the best, to dominate everyone. I don’t want to put that kind of pressure on my kids. They deserve better because they’re dad already fôught for them.”

If life is hãrd on you, then do everything possible to make sure you’re kids never go through what you went through. Give them a better life 💯
