He is an Ibibio from Nsit Ibom, Akwa Ibom in the southern a part of Nigeria.
He graduated from the University of Uyo where he studied Philosophy. He started his acting career from childhood and he featured in over 100 movies. The movie that made him very prominent was an traditional movie, “Uyai”, that was produced by Emem Isong in 2008.

Umoh is an origin of Nsit-Ibom government Area, Akwa Ibom State, in the southern part of Nigeria. The Nollywood star studied Philosophy in he University of Jos where he graduated.

Umoh began his acting career right from his early days and he starred in over 100 movies. In the year 2008 Emem Isong movie, Uyai,” brought the actor to the limelight. But it had been his role because the hilarious character Okon in movies like “Okon Goes to Lagos” and “Okon Goes to School” that turned him into a household comic actor.

Umoh has featured in movies like “Silent Scandals,” “Ayamma,” “Bursting Out,” “Jump and Pass” and “The Boss is Mine.” Ime once listed Mr. Bean, Nkem Owoh and also Mr Ibu( John Okafor) who was his role models.

In 2016, he was appointed as a special assistant to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, on Ethical and Social Reorientation. he’s also a brand ambassador to Globacom Nigeria .

The actor met his wife Idara at a marriage where he was the master of ceremony and she or he was one among the bridesmaids. She was in a relationship when he asked her out, but he had persisted.

They eventually got married on October 17th, 2013, in Uyo. In 2014, the actor and his wife welcomed their first child together; a gorgeous daughter named Wauneta Imeabasi Umoh.

They welcomed their second child, also a young girl, in November 2017 and held her church dedication on Sunday, March 18th, 2018.

According to the actor, who doesn’t drink or sm0ke, alc0hol is large close up for him. “I am naturally high. Do I appear as if someone who is n0rmal? i’m not n0rmal,” he said.

On October 19, he celebrated with his wife, Idara, on their 3rd anniversary . The funny actor took to his Instagram to post pictures of his wife and daughter, and wrote a stunning message accompanying them.

He said: “jokingly, and it’s 3 years gone already. I met her and decided to form her a neighborhood of my life forever. Looking back at the journey thus far , I clearly see that i’m bigger and better now than once I met her and that i have the great Lord to thank.”

In 2017, Umoh won the simplest Actor in comedy at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for his role in that movie movie “The Boss is Mine.”
