“Growing up, I had the same similar situation which some kids have with my dad not being around and I used to háté him for that. But then, what crackęd the code for me was like really? What was he going through? I took it from that perspective of why he left and I put myself in his shoes. And when I looked at it from his position, like my dad wasn’t around and all these things happened. And then when I took a further look, my uncle, his younger brother got kîlled. So he spent all his nights out looking for those who kîlled him. But he had a family, so my mum is looking at him like, what’s you on? There’s the fracturè so among other things, the relationship tumbled, I mean his relationship with my mum not mine with him. So they had to seperatë. You know things happen and you are a result of those things, so you feel like voîd. Before you conclude on things, look at them from other people’s perspective and what they’re going through. We have been taught everything but emotional intelligence. They don’t teach you that as a young man growing up but you’re taught to survîve.” Jay-Z
