In the final episode of the series, Rome’s power couple, Gauis (also known as Caesar Augustus), and his incredibly manipulative wife, Livia Drusilla, resolve their differences over the murder of his nephew (and successor) Marcellus. There are some major spoilers ahead, so please turn away if you haven’t finished Season 1. The pair appeared prepared to rule Rome in whatever they saw fit, with Livia, of course, in a position of strength to exert as much influence as she could.

There is enough in their lives and background to make a fantastic second season, so of course, we must see what happens next. Along with Matthew McNulty as Gaius, Ben Batt as Agrippa, Colette Dalal Tchantcho as Antigone, Claire Forlani as Octavia, Isabella Rossellini as Balbina, Finn Bennett as Marcellus, Earl Cave as Tiberius, Liah O’Prey as Julia, and Peter Campion as Libo, Kasia Smutniak portrays Livia Drusilia, the wife of the Roman Emperor Augustus Caesar.
