The final episode of Kin season two aired last night and it’s safe to say it had an ending many did not see coming.
While the troubled Frank (Aiden Gillen) has been on our screens far less this season, it was ultimately the Kinsella elder who ended up pulling the trigger on his brother Bren, before finally turning the gun on himself.
Viewers were full of praise for the episode’s climactic ending, as Bren’s sons Michael and Jimmy watched people flee The Furry Bog pub before stepping inside to discover that Frank had already done the deed for them.

Viewers were not disappointed by what they described as a ‘gripping’ ending to the second season of the hit series about fictional crime family the Kinsellas.
OMG! What an ending, for sure nobody seen that coming, the suspense of waiting 2-3 months for next season,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
While another said: “What an episode. Feck me. Been in a state of high stress for the past hour. Brilliant end to a brilliant season.”
Kin cast members also gave thanks to fans of the show – which has been a ratings smash for RTÉ – before the season finale aired on Sunday.
Emmet J. Scanlan, who plays Bren’s son Jimmy, said: “The response towards KIN has been utterly remarkable.
“Thank you to everyone who tuned in & to those who have been in touch personally… means a lot to me, to us… You ain’t ready for this ending though… #Kin #RTEKin #KinFinale”
