Blockbusters Indian cinema has registered in January
The New Year 2023 started with a bang with multiple box office blockbusters from Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi film industries. Indian Cinema has registered back-to-back blockbusters in the first month of 2023. Last year had a slow run with a handful of hit movies such as RRR, Pushpa, Gangubai Kathiawadi, and Kashmir Files. South and Bollywood both had several flops, however, looks like January 2023 has come with a new ray of shine. Most of the movies that were released in the first month made outstanding business at the box office.
Varisu is Thalapathy Vijay’s second-highest-grosser
Varisu starring Thalapathy Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna has crossed 300 crore mark at the box office collection. The Tamil film is Thalapathy Vijay’s second-highest-grosser of all time after Mersal. Varisu is directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju. The film is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 22nd February.
Thunivu made impressive business
Thunivu is a heist thriller featuring Ajith Kumar in role of a bank robber. The Tamil film has made a collection of Rs 250 crore at the box office collection. It is directed by H. Vinoth and produced by Red Giant Movies. Thunivu will be available on the OTT platform Netflix from 8th February.
