“I feel very bad when I see people saying my entire album sounds like Water” – Tyla

I’ve been seeing a lot of people saying that all the songs in my album sound like Water. I’m almost depressed because I worked so hard on this album and I don’t know why some people are just criticizing it.

I think people are just confused because I’m introducing something different from the usual African music.

My genre is a fusion of Afrobeats, Amapiano, RnB and Pop. It is a fresh new sound and I think people are confused and saying that everything is sounding the same when in reality it’s just the same genre.

I’m just happy that people are learning now and they are vibing to it. Regardless of what ever, my album is a masterpiece and I’m gonna prove it to everyone

Even if you don’t like Tyla, atleast respect the fact that at just 22 she’s already setting and breakîng records and putting Africa on the map.🗺️👏

👉 People said Water was gonna be her last hît but she prõved all of them wrõng
👉 People said even though she was nominated for the Grammys, she wasn’t gonna win but proved them wrong
👉 People said her album was gonna flôp but she had the highest album debut sales by an African artist ever.

Let’s start giving Tyla the flowers she deserves.
